VW 502.00 is for gasoline TSI engines. VW 507.00 is for TDI diesel engines with diesel particulate filters (DPF). Using 502.00 oil in a TDI causes DPF damage from incompatible additives — and using 507.00 in a TSI gasoline engine isn't ideal either. The specs are not interchangeable. We always confirm the correct spec for your specific engine before any oil change.
