BMW, Audi, Mercedes — work done the right way.

An Audi Q5 owner came in last fall with a $4,200 quote from the dealer for a major service plus a list of "recommended" repairs. We did the actual service and the genuinely needed work for less than half — and showed her line by line which dealer "recommendations" weren't actually due yet on her car. That's the gap we fill: real European expertise, real factory-grade tools, real pricing.

Trouble Signs

Signs your European vehicle needs attention

European cars give you plenty of warning before something becomes a major repair. If any of these match what you're seeing, get a diagnostic before the small problem becomes an expensive one.

— I.

Service due light or dashboard reminder

European cars are good at telling you exactly when they need service. Don't push past it — milestone services exist because specific components age on a known schedule.

— II.

Oil leaks under the car

Common on older BMWs and Audis — valve cover gaskets, oil filter housings, oil pan gaskets, and rear main seals all have known wear points. Catch a leak early before it ruins something else under the hood.

— III.

Coolant smell or low coolant warnings

European water pumps, expansion tanks, and coolant lines have known service intervals. A small leak today is much cheaper than an overheat tomorrow.

— IV.

Rough idle, hesitation, or power loss

Carbon buildup on direct-injection engines, ignition coil failure, fuel injector issues, or VANOS/Valvetronic problems on BMWs. All diagnosable, all fixable.

— V.

Transmission feels different — slipping, harsh shifts, or hesitation

European automatics (ZF, DSG) need fluid service at specific intervals. Skipping it is the fastest way to ruin an expensive transmission. Get it diagnosed early.

— VI.

Suspension noise or sagging ride height

Air suspension issues on Mercedes Airmatic and BMW EAS systems can be expensive if ignored. We diagnose air suspension faults and offer multiple repair paths.

FAQ

European auto repair, answered

The questions Winston-Salem European vehicle owners ask us most when their BMW, Audi, Mercedes, or other European car needs work.

— 01

What European brands do you service?

Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo, Jaguar, and Mini. If it's European, ask — we likely work on it. We have factory-grade diagnostic software for the major platforms and the platform-specific knowledge to do the work right.

— 02

How much cheaper is your shop than the dealer?

Most European jobs cost meaningfully less here than at the dealer — sometimes hundreds of dollars less, occasionally more. The savings come from lower labor rates, no dealer overhead, and not pushing unnecessary work. Every job gets a written estimate before any work starts.

— 03

Do you use OEM parts on European cars?

Yes — for European vehicles we use OEM or OEM-equivalent parts because the cheap aftermarket alternatives often cause real problems on these platforms. We'll discuss any cost-saving alternatives with you before installing anything.

— 04

Will independent service void my European car's warranty?

No. Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) protects your right to use any qualified shop for service without voiding the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work is done correctly with proper parts and documentation. We provide full service records that satisfy warranty requirements.

— 05

What is a Mercedes A Service vs B Service?

The A Service is the lighter scheduled service (oil, filter, fluid checks, brake inspection). The B Service is the larger one (everything in A plus cabin filter, brake fluid, additional inspections). Mercedes alternates them on a roughly yearly schedule based on mileage and time. We perform both to spec and reset the indicator.

— 06

How long do European repairs typically take?

Routine service is same-day. Diagnostics are usually same or next day. Larger repairs — timing chains, transmission service, suspension overhauls — can take two to four days depending on parts availability. We give you a realistic timeline up front.

— 07

Do you handle BMW carbon cleaning and walnut blasting?

Yes. Direct-injection BMWs (and most modern European DI engines) build up carbon on the intake valves over time, which causes rough running and power loss. We perform walnut blasting carbon cleaning to restore performance. It's typically due around 60,000 to 80,000 miles.
